Elizabeth Joy's Baptism

Elizabeth Joy was baptized this past Sunday. It was such a sweet weekend celebrating the Lord's covenant with us.
Genesis 17:7 And I will establish my covenant between me and you and your offspring after you throughout their generations for an everlasting covenant, to be God to you and to your offspring after you.

The baptism was during Elizabeth Joy's nap time so she was super sleepy.
Karen made the most gorgeous baptism gown and matching companion dress for Caroline. She worked so hard to make it absolutely beautiful.  The dress has a slip with Elizabeth Joy's family tree and baptism information embroidered on it. Hopefully her children can wear this dress and add their family tree info to it as well!

Here is Elizabeth Joy being shown to the congregation, totally asleep.

Elizabeth Joy was baptized with Claire, our back neighbor whose parents are sweet friends that we are so glad to have been able to know and spend time with.

Karen with her two grandgirls and the two dresses she made. She is so talented!!

After church we had a fancy lunch at home. I love an excuse to use my wedding china and to get pretty flowers!.

I served one of my favorite meals, white bbq chicken, yellow rice, broccoli salad and tomatoes with cup cakes from Jilly's cupcake bar. It was all very tasty, even though Elizabeth Joy can't eat food yet - I'm sure she felt very honored. :-)
