Well, St. Louis had some MAJOR down pours a few weeks ago and so I didn't make it over to our garden to check it out. I knew the broccoli was just about ready, but I was busy keeping water out of our basement to check on it. Well, on the first sunny day in forever (it felt), I walked over to the garden to see my broccoli had BLOOMED!
All but one turned into cute little yellow flowers, which meant, we couldn't eat them. I was sad. I decided to cut a bunch and put it in a vase so I could enjoy it somehow :-) It was actually kind of cute.
We have enjoyed the peas and lettuce though! We've had some great salads and shared with friends. Now we're waiting on cucumber, squash, tomatoes, cabbage, onions and melons!

Not a failure at all!! I can't keep a house plant alive, so you are ten up on me.
