Our Big Girl

Caroline cut her first tooth this week! It wasn't too terrible of an experience, which seems like a good sign to me. She was just super clingy for a couple days and then boom, there was a tooth popping through her gums.

Also! She, as you all know, is a great stander :-) Now she is trying to put one foot in front of the other. She usually will step one foot forward and stay there or immediately fall down. But it is fun watching her be brave and try new things.

Today we went to a shower for a friend in Gulf Drive. Caroline was such a sweetie and then fell asleep on my shoulder for the gift opening. What a sweetie. She even let me pass her to Liz to sleep on her shoulder without having a problem with it. Oh motherhood, I'm loving it these days.

After the shower we went to the Festival of Nations in South City. It was great! I loved seeing artwork, dancing, hearing music and tasting food from all over the world.
Here, David and Caroline are watching the awesome African dancers. They put on a great show. Caroline thought it was so fun that she started dancing too!
Mmm, mmm. Food at these types of things are my favorite. We got Argentine corn empanadas and a Greek gyro. Caroline loved both. She loves trying new foods as well.
Y'all, the weather here in St. Louis is fabulous. Every time we step outside we feel like singing! ha (that was a quote from David). David decided that today's weather is what he expects heaven will feel like.
