Today, David and I were interviewed by the elders of our church to make complete our part of the steps to join our church. We had been going as visitors for almost a year, but we decided to go ahead and join. Working with The Navigators and living out of town from family both attribute to us being out of town a lot on the weekends. But each Sunday we are in town we look forward to worshiping at this church. Our pastor, Sinclair Ferguson, is a powerful teacher. He is so grounded in scripture and it is refreshing and challenging to hear him speak. I personally love listening to him as well because of his accent, he is from Scotland. If you want to hear some of the past sermons you can at the website.

David and me with the elders we met with this morning.

This is the front of the sanctuary. The church was formed in 1795. David loves the history that this church has. Below are pictures showing some of that history - many revolutionary war soldiers are buried here as well as President Woodrow Wilson's parents. It is pretty interesting to walk around that graveyard and read about the people buried there.

After church we were invited to one of the associate pastor's homes for lunch. We had a great time with them and the other guests at the lunch. We feel so welcomed and are excited to get even more involved with the church.
